Meet Ace of Clay

Anthony, known as Ace of Clay, is a self-taught sculptor, educator, and creator who has become a recognized name within the polymer clay and sculpting community since launching Ace of Clay in 2014.

In 2018, Anthony brought Ace of Clay to YouTube, where he has built an extensive library of more than 360 videos covering polymer clay sculpting, character creation, tools, techniques, and the creative process behind his work. From intricate figurines and original characters to larger, more ambitious sculptures, his videos have helped make sculpting approachable for artists of all skill levels. Today, the Ace of Clay YouTube channel has amassed more than 654,000 subscribers and over 61,000,000 views, with his total online following exceeding 1,300,000 people across platforms.

While sculpting remains at the heart of Ace of Clay, Anthony's focus has grown beyond simply creating his own work. Today, much of what he does is centered around helping other artists become better sculptors, sharing the techniques, knowledge, and experience he has developed throughout his career and creating the tools and materials he wishes he had along the way.

That philosophy led to the creation of the official Ace of Clay sculpting product line, a growing collection of tools and supplies designed specifically for sculptors. Each product is developed with a sculptor's perspective at the forefront, with an emphasis on functionality, quality, and solving real problems at the workbench. Rather than simply putting the Ace of Clay name on existing products, Anthony is closely involved in developing products that meet or exceed his own standards and the needs of the artists who use them.

Anthony has also created a successful merchandise line inspired by his original universe, The Hidden World. The collection has included plush toys, prints, trading cards, stickers, and other merchandise inspired by the strange characters and creatures that have become part of the Ace of Clay world, with more planned for the future.

Beyond his videos and products, Anthony runs Snakes of Clay, a members-only online community of more than 10,000 participants. The group gives fellow Ace of Clay subscribers a place to share their sculptures, exchange ideas, encourage one another, and participate in member-exclusive contests.

At its core, Ace of Clay has always been about making things, and helping other people realize that they can make them too. Whether through a tutorial, a sculpting tool, a new material, or simply sharing what he has learned along the way, Anthony's goal is to give artists the knowledge and confidence to bring their own ideas to life.

As he likes to say, “There is nothing I love more than creating art, and sharing it with you makes it even better!”
