My Standards
Most companies build for scale, I build for sculptors.
While others optimize for margins, trends, and volume, I optimize for feel, function and durability. Profit keeps a business alive, but it does not dictate my standards.
I will not cheapen materials to protect a margin. I will not redesign products to lower manufacturing costs at the expense of performance. I will not release tools that “kind of” work.
If it doesn’t help the way you sculpt, it doesn’t ship.
When you buy from Ace of Clay®, you’re not buying from a corporation. You’re buying from a one-man operation, someone who actually sculpts, who tests every product, and whose name stands behind every order.
No boardroom.
No investors.
No race to the bottom.
Just standards.
I’m also committed to creating products other companies won’t bother to release, because they don’t scale, or they don’t maximize profit.
Niche tools. Thoughtful designs. Materials most brands won’t touch.
Exploring premium wood options like walnut and beech for sculpture bases isn’t the easy path, but it’s the right one. Sculptors deserve choices that feel intentional, refined, and made to last.
And this is only the beginning.
What’s coming next will be bigger, more ambitious, and designed to push this craft forward in ways most companies wouldn’t even attempt.
In a world racing toward artificial everything, working with your hands is deliberate and more important than ever. The tools you choose to use should be too.
Thank you for being here and for your support, I couldn’t do this without you!
